Description

The Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County, located in Valparaiso, Indiana opened in 1970 with a mission to provide quality health care to members of the community enabling them to preserve their dignity and maintain their independence while remaining in their homes. Over the years, the VNA has responded to the expanding health care needs of residents by adding services such as speech, physical and occupational therapy, home health aide services, nutritional counseling, medical social services, Meals on Wheels and hospice care.

The VNA is a not-for-profit home health care agency, certified as a Medicare and Medicaid provider, licensed by the State of Indiana and governed by a board of volunteer directors from the community. The VNA is a United Way Member Agency and is accredited by the Community Healthcare Accreditation Program.
