Description

We are a 501 c3 nonprofit organization based in Nashville, TN, with a mission to provide health care and health education in Haiti. We are currently building the Visitation Hospital Clinic and AIDS Outreach in southwest Haiti and once operational, we will launch a capital campaign to build a full-service hospital there. We will serve a 7-region area of 254,000 children and adults, who currently live without access to medical care. An important component of our program will be community health and outreach such as AIDS, TB, nutrition, vaccinations, Vitamin A capsule distribution, rehydration, a midwifery program, training and more. The average life expectancy is 48 for men and 51 for women and 99 out of every 1,000 babies die before reaching age 5. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and we believe in our mission to provide them with the health care they need and deserve and human persons.
