Description
The Virginia Air & Space Center (VASC) provides a spectacular environment for exploring national achievements in aviation and space exploration while stimulating interest in the sciences. The VASC is home to the Apollo 12 Command Module, a three-billion year-old moon rock, a stunning collection of historic spacecraft and aircraft suspended from the 90-foot ceiling, a collection of over 100 hands-on exhibits, and a five-story 3D IMAX® theater. Our primary objective is to foster a lifelong desire to learn and to inspire the engineers, technologists, scientists and leaders of tomorrow. We are preparing our children to be productive members of our work force.
The VASC, using its state-of-the-art exhibits and educational programs, provides an engaging environment for students and teachers to explore numerous mathematic and scientific principles. After just one visit, children leave motivated and determined to explore their world and beyond.
