Description
The Violin Player is an education-related 501-(c)(3) non-profit organization. We advance music education by providing quality musical instruments and other educational resources to schools and individuals in the Central and Western New York areas.
The Violin Player also founded and administers the Tompkins County Youth Orchestra. The TCYO provides quality, full symphony orchestra training, instruction, and performance experience to young Tompkins County musicians and makes it possible for them to experience the discipline and rewards of preparing and performing advanced repertoires. We strongly encourage each student musician's continued participation in other music programs and require their participation in school orchestras and ensembles, as these programs are a vital component to the success and quality of the Tompkins County Youth Orchestra and the cultural life of the community.
We are registered in the State of New York.
