The Violence Policy Center (VPC) is a national tax-exempt educational organization working to stop gun death and injury in the United States through research, advocacy, and education. The VPC approaches gun violence as a broadbased public health, as opposed to solely a crime, issue and promotes prevention strategies to reduce gun suicides, homicides, and unintentional deaths.
