Description
Founded by artists in 1984, the Vermont Studio Center is now the largest and most international artists' and writers' Residency Program in the U.S. Each year VSC hosts 600 outstanding emerging and mid-career painters, sculptors, installation artists, printmakers, photographers, poets, and writers (50 per month) from across the country and around the world. VSC provides 4 to 12 week Residencies on an award-winning 30 building campus in Johnson, Vermont, one of the most scenic and pristine parts of America. In 2005, VSC hosted Residents from 44 different countries and awarded $1,400,000 in 200 Full Fellowships and 300 Partial Fellowships to make their participation possible.
