Description
Founded in 1992, VPIC is a non-profit organization serving a growing number of families and professionals each year. Our mission is to empower parents, families, and children with special needs to become effective advocates to improve the child’s education and quality of life. We provide a variety of programs, such as
• one-on-one counseling to inform and support parents and enable them to work with agencies in getting needed services for their children,
• workshops to help parents understand how to advocate effectively if their child needs special assistance and services,
• an Assistive Technology Center that allows children with special needs, parents, and professionals to try adaptive and expensive technology before buying,
• and, much, much more.
