Description
The Vermilion County Conservation District (VCCD) consists of four County Parks: Kennekuk, Forest Glen, Lake Vermilion, and Heron County Park. The VCCD offers many recreational activities such as hiking, camping, boating. Many educational and historical programs and events are held throughout the year. The Vermilion County Conservation District is a leader among institutions providing conservation education to its citizens as well as surrounding counties and Indiana. Providing conservation education to all age levels has always been a major goal of the District. Vermilion County is located on the Indiana state line, 120 miles south of Chicago.
