Description
Vashon Youth & Family Services is Vashon's primary social services provider. It's mission is to help Islanders raise thriving, resilient children and youth by fostering a community of emotionally healthy, resourceful families and individuals.
VYFS offers counseling services to all ages on a steeply sliding scale and is the only licensed mental health facility on Vashon.
In addition, the agency has an extensive parenting support program called "Parent University" as well as in school emotional wellness programs in the public schools.
Finally, the agency offers an array of social service support including employment and emergency financial assistance.
