Description
A nurturing non-profit private school grades Kindergarten through 8th grade, with tuition that adjusts according to need. It is a Waldorf school, a system of education known around the globe and which is also called Rudolf Steiner Schools. Waldorf education is about 100 years old and is based on the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, believing in stages of child development. It is a school where the college of teachers have control over pedagogical decisions.
Valley Waldorf is a small school with individualized attention for the students and is a very nurturing environment for students. It is located in a section of Van Nuys, California called Balboa Park. In School Year 2006-7, the school is only in it's 7th year and struggles financially as new schools do.
