Description
Valley Stream Cat Rescue (VSCR) is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation staffed entirely by volunteers and foster homes and was founded to assist in achieving the goal of eliminating homeless cats on Long Island. VSCR's mission is to strongly practice and encourage trap/neuter/release programs whereby strays are humanely trapped then neutered, tested for feline diseases, vaccinated, and evaluated for adoptability. If a cat is feral (untamable), it is released back into its colony to live out the rest of its life without reproducing. If a cat can be be tamed, it is held for adoption.
