VICCC provides high-quality, loving, affordable, and educational care for the infant and toddler children of low-income working families in the New River Valley of Southwest Virginia. VICCC is a broad interfaith coalition, with Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Baha'i, and Hindu Board members, supporters, and friends. Parents pay 10% of their income for their child care, and VICCC raises the rest, from faith communities, businesses, civic groups, the public sector, and individuals. We opened our first, fully state-licensed center in November 2004, in the town of Christiansburg, and a second in February 2006, in the town of Blacksburg. We have served about seventy children so far, and envision a network of sites throughout the four-county New River Valley.
