Description
The Vagabond School of the Drama is a non-for-profit Theatre and School. It is also called the Flat Rock Playhouse, and is the state theatre of North Carolina. Its history dates back more than 60 years. Each year has seen thousands of audience members, hundreds of students, interns, and apprentices. Most recently, a new YouTheatre building was erected in honor of Robin Farquhar, Executive and Artistic Director of Flat Rock Playhouse, and son to the Founders, Robroy and Leona Farquhar. The tradition of educating and entertaining through the arts continues today as it will in the future fulfilling the legacy of the Farquhar family, and enriching all the vagabonds that pass through its doors.
