Description
Urban Ventures is a non-profit in S. Minneapolis that works to break the cycle of generational poverty that grips urban communities.
We believe we can accomplish by raising up a new generation of urban leaders who understand the value of education. Our vision is to see each student we work with graduate from high school and go on to some form of post-secondary education. As this happens, the cycle of poverty will start to break, as youth will be educated and equipped with the vision and skills they need to succeed in a life off of the streets.
Our work also includes programs and education for adults - mothers and fathers who need to learn to be responsible adults and parents.
This comprehensive approach to developing leadership is a unique and effective model for creating successful community in the city.
