Urban Education Exchange, a New York City-based non-profit organization, fosters academic excellence in urban elementary schools that serve low-income, at-risk students. UEE forms partnerships with elementary schools where approximately 75% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. UEE provides these schools with a research-based curriculum targeted for at-risk students. We support this curriculum with intensive teacher training and detailed feedback for teachers through assessments. Our three-part, integrated program is specifically designed to support at-risk students in closing the achievement gap.
UEE partners with schools that serve under-resourced communities and are dedicated to high student achievement. In addition, we work with schools that have the autonomy to choose the curriculum, leadership, and staff necessary for excellence.
