The Upper Valley Waldorf School (UVWS) is an independent, nondenominational school located in Quechee, Vermont. Its mission is to cultivate a balance of intellectual achievement, spiritual growth, physical development and personal responsibility through a classical education that reflects an understanding of the growing child.
The Upper Valley Waldorf School is inspired by the educational philosophy of Austrian scientist and philosopher Rudolf Steiner. The curriculum is designed to meet the intellectual, social and emotional stages of child development through an integrated program of academics and the arts. The fundamental goal of Waldorf education at UVWS and worldwide is to guide students to an understanding and experience of the common humanity for all people.
Incorporated in 1991, UVWS has grown to serve families with children from pre-school to eighth grade.
