Description
The mission of the Division of Communication at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UWSP) is to foster leadership and engagement to prepare students to meet the communication challenges of tomorrow. By continuing our tradition as an innovative and comprehensive communication program, we will inspire our communities to use the power of communication for positive change in the world.
The University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point created the first communication program in Wisconsin in 1969 and only the fourth such program in the country. The Division of Communication offers a solid grounding in the history and theory of communication.
Four thousand students have graduated with a communication major from UWSP. Many UWSP alumni have achieved great success and hold important leadership roles in their professions and communities.
