Description

The University of South Florida Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training Program is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). We are a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Sciences. As a graduate program focused on clinical science, we aim to provide excellent training to graduate students who learn to conduct research that deals with understanding, treating, and preventing mental health problems. Graduate students also learn to use evidence-based practices to assess and treat mental health problems.

The USF Psychological Services Center, which is housed within our training program, is a mental health clinic where individuals from the community can receive cutting-edge assessments and treatments for their mental health concerns (including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use and abuse, body image problems, eating disorders, ADHD, learning problems, and low self-esteem). The clinic provides low-fee services to children, adolescents, adults, the elderly, groups, couples, and families–many of whom could not afford the services elsewhere.
