UNM Children’s Hospital’s mission is to provide the children of New Mexico with comprehensive, family-centered health care that is unequaled in the state. Physicians and staff apply advanced medical science and an abiding concern for the well-being of children to improve and restore health for New Mexico’s youngest residents.
UNM Children’s Hospital is New Mexico’s only Children’s Hospital. UNM Children’s Hospital treats over 41,000 children annually from every county in New Mexico. We also provide the state’s only pediatric specialty care in many important areas including: oncology, hematology, emergency medicine, genetic and metabolic diseases, rheumatology, trauma, and rehabilitation. Without these dedicated specialists, many of our children and families would be forced to seek services outside of New Mexico in order to find appropriate care.
