UOM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in LA in Dec. 2008 by Mike Farahani. It's one of the first nonpolitical, nonreligious, educational organizations to promote love and human rights inspired by ancient Persian history, art, and culture. Even though Cyrus’s human rights charter was studied while drafting the Constitution, education of ancient Persia is widely unknown. Ancient Persian leaders encouraged individual rights, tolerance, love, and effective leadership skills. Ancient Persian writers and artists emphasized that life is finite and should be enjoyed. These teachings are lacking in our nation’s culture today. Our education on love and human rights will create positive change and social justice in our nation and be a model for the world. UOM distributes original books written by UOM's primary teacher, works by famous Persian writers and artists, and textbooks. UOM also creates and distributes posters and DVDs for nominal donations and lectures around the country.
