Our mission: "To Improve Local People's Lives by Focusing the Caring Capacity of Our Communities."
United Way of the Tri-Valley Area supports 24 programs that serve over 12,000 people in Franklin County, Livermore and Livermore Falls, Maine. The United Way acts a clearinghouse, collecting donations from workplace givers, community members, and local businesses and corporations. This money is then redistributed to help agencies working in five areas of need:
-Responding to Emergencies
-Increasing Independence and Overcoming Disabilities
-Promoting Physical and Mental Health
-Assisting the Elderly
-Helping Children and Families
