Description

St. Landry-Evangeline United Way is located in Opelousas, Louisiana. Programs include Disaster Relief Center providing services to survivors of a disaster and United Community Health Center providing free medical services to the working uninsured and free medications to the uninsured. Funding is also provided to 24 non-profit organizations that provide services in the area: American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club, Cerebral Palsy Clinic, Community Directions, Community Chapel Tutoring, Acadiana CARES, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Evangeline Community Action, Evangeline Council on Aging, Faith House, St. Landry/Evangeline Sexual Assault Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Thensted Center, Greater Eunice Ministerial Alliance, ICONS, Lighthouse Mission, VITA, Hospice Foundation of Louisiana, New LIfe Center, ODV Volunteers and The Extra Mile.
