United Way of Greater Chattanooga's mission is to unite people and resources in building a stronger and healthier community. For more than 80 years, United Way of Greater Chattanooga has been a partner in improving the community, helping individuals through a "safety net" of services. UWGC also strives to address the root causes of many of our most serious social problems through our intiatives that will ultimately relieve some of the pressure on these "safety net" services. In addition, 100% of contributions to UWGC go directly to support these vital human services, thanks to an endowment.
