IT IS USA LUGE’S MISSION, IN THE SPIRIT OF THE OLYMPIC MOVEMENT, TO PROVIDE FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT OF EXCELLENCE IN THE SPORT OF LUGE, WITH THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF SPORTSMANSHIP AND VICTORY AS THE STANDARD. USA LUGE RECRUITS, DEVELOPS, TRAINS, AND SUPPORTS DEDICATED ATHLETES SO THEY MAY REPRESENT THEMSELVES AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WITH HONOR, IN ALL LUGE COMPETITIONS.
USA Luge is a member organization of the United States Olympic Committee and is the National Governing Body for the sport of luge in the United States. A not-for-profit organization, USA Luge – the official American representative to the International Luge Federation– is based in Lake Placid, N.Y. with a western office in Park City, Utah, and its natural track operations in Marquette/Negaunee, MI. It is the responsibility of USA Luge to prepare, train and equip the United States National Luge Team for international and Olympic competition, as well as promote the growth of the sport nationwide.
