Description

.United Community Ministries was created in 1993 by the merger of Community Ministries and the Crisis Ministry Center. Together these organizations have provided ministry and services to homeless and nearly homeless families and individuals, for over twenty years. Today United Community Ministries program include:
- The Community Shelter- providing shelter, assessment, referral and employment assistance for over 500 individuals in 2004-2005
- The Community Kitchen and Pantry- providing 35,000 meals more than1200 food baskets to over 1,000 families in 2004- 2005 plus providing storage and a distribution point for bulk quantities of food shared with other community agencies
- Family Assistance Network (FAN)- providing assessment, referral, and direct financial support to former shelter residents, and the nearly homeless
- House The Children/Bassett Center - a transitional housing facilities were we have housed over 120 families since 2001.
