Description
As an umbrella fundraising organization, the United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County raises money from individuals, businesses and government entities to provide arts programming, arts services and arts education throughout Wake County.
In 2007-2008, the funds raised will help underwrite:
? 290 theatre performances.
? 213 music and dance concerts.
? 125 art exhibitions.
? 18 Festivals
? 6000 classes/workshops in arts for youth outside of school settings.
? 225 classes/workshops in arts for adults.
? 140,000 hours of arts programming in 131 Wake schools.
? 120+ arts performances in Wake K-12 schools.
? 76 writer-in-residence programs in Wake K-12 schools.
? 74 artist residencies/workshops in Wake K-12 schools.
? 49 opera or chamber music performances in Wake K-12 schools.
