Unified Health Solutions is a non-profit, social service organization established in 1966 as a result of a comprehensive study conducted by area health and human services leaders. It was

realized that addressing some health needs could only be realized through a partnership with area organizations and an integration of their programs and services.

Today, UHS operates a variety of prevention, intervention and self-sufficiency programs, including after-school educational, recreational and prevention programs to children (in grades K – 8th) and their families. UHS also operates Alternative Learning Centers as an in-school option to out of school suspension. Other programs at UHS include prescription assistance to the medically indigent, workforce development, Americorp, marriage education and mentoring.
