Description
The HomeOwnership Center (The HOC), is dedicated to revitalizing and growing neighborhoods through home ownership, housing rehabilitation and community empowerment.
We were founded in 1979 and work in partnership with local, state and national government, financial institutions and private funders to increase successful home ownership in Oneida, Herkimer & Madison Counties of New York State.
Our tag line, "Your Catalyst for Change," reflects our deep and abiding commitment to our community and the people who live here.
In the past 10 years alone, we have assisted over 800 families to purchase their first home, established and coordinate more than 200 block associations, taught more than 1500 people financial literacy and home buyer education, stimulated over $52 million in economic activity in our region and rehabilitated more than 1000 homes.
