Trust for Natural Legacies, Inc. is a non-profit land trust committed to preserving, conserving and restoring natural areas throughout the Midwest. We accomplish this by owning, operating and promoting cemetery nature preserves, as well as by building and supporting a multi-generational network of people and organizations interested in green burial.

A cemetery nature preserve provides a financially and environmentally sustainable and spiritually-fulfilling solution for people seeking to leave a legacy of care and respect for the planet and its inhabitants. It is a place where the body is returned to nature and the natural cycle of life. The burial process supports and restores nature instead of destroying it. The resulting public green space establishes a living memorial and forms a protected nature preserve.

We hope our efforts empower people to participate in leaving a legacy that will preserve thousands of acres of natural areas for future generations.
