Description
The mission of Triangle Community Works (TCW) is to establish and maintain a coalition of individuals, organizations, programs, and projects in the Research Triangle area (Wake, Durham, and Orange counties in North Carolina) collaborating to make the region’s environment a safe, healthy, and life-affirming place for members of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities
and their allies.
TCW’s current programs include the Gay and Lesbian Helpline, A Safer Place Youth Network (ASPYN), SeminarWorks, and twice-monthly Game Nights.
The organization’s long-term goal is to secure and manage an LGBT community center that provides office space, education programs, meeting rooms for TCW and other organizations, and social areas. The intent is to maximize area resources, reduce duplication of efforts, and facilitate safe
community interactions.
