    The TMA Group is a public-private partnership committed to providing environmentally friendly, affordable, reliable, and safe mobility options for Middle Tennesseans. Formed in 1988 as a non-profit (501c3) organization, The TMA Group was the first transportation management association in the Southeast and the 35th in the nation. Currently, The TMA Group manages a vanpool fleet, in partnership with Williamson County, the City of Franklin and the Regional Transportation Association consisting of 40+ vehicles providing mobility to commuters in nine area counties. The TMA Group is leading the way in bettering the air quality of Williamson County and the surrounding region through education, programs and services. During 2004, the Clean Air Partnership of Williamson County, a public outreach initiative of The TMA Group and Williamson County Government to help combat the problems of poor air quality was launched. Currently 80 leading corporations and businesses are partners.
