Description
The Tibetan Language Institute is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the study and preservation of the language, literature, and culture of Tibet. TLI was founded by David Curtis to teach Western students the Tibetan language in a simple yet accessible form, enabling them to read and understand Tibetan texts.
TLI offers ongoing group classes and individual tutoring in Classical Tibetan plus distance learning opportunities via telephone or correspondence. In addition to offering an annual Summer Program for students at all levels with featured guest teachers, we present introductory and other seminars throughout the United States.
We also offer a side range of learning materials and study aids, including books, manuals, dictionaries, flash cards, CD’s, cassette tapes, etc.
