Three Valley Conservation Trust - TVCT

about

The Three Valley Conservation Trust (TVCT, or Trust) is a community-based, nonprofit land trust. It was initiated by volunteers in late 1993, and was incorporated and granted 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt status by the IRS on September 12, 1994. The TVCT works with landowners and government agencies to conserve, preserve, and protect the land’s natural environment and cultural heritage in southwest Ohio. The geographic areas served extend beyond Butler County into Preble County and throughout our watersheds into parts of Montgomery and Darke counties. Through 2002, the Trust had 20 protected acres on 4 different properties; as of April 2007, we have over 7300 acres on 52 properties and expect to have over 8500 acres under protection by the end of 2007. Our effectiveness is reflected by our strong membership support from the community, tremendous cooperation with Local and State governmental agencies and continued interest of landowners in protecting/preserving their lands.
