about

Thorpe Family Residence, Inc., a not-for-profit 501 c3 organization, has provided shelter and services to homeless families for more than sixteen years in a section of the Bronx, New York that is one of the poorest in the City and is part of Congressional District #16, ranked as the poorest congressional district in the entire country. Open to homeless in need without regard to religion or creed, Thorpe Family Residence takes for its primary goal the provision of a continuum of care for those homeless families seeking to develop life skills in preparation for independent living.
