Description

The JACK (Just Another Chance for KIds) Program features the TALKS Leadership Movement. The TALKS Leadership movement is a cognitive and innovative approach to mentoring designed to mentor schoolage children beginning at 3rd grade through high school, and beyound. The program is researdhed based and is supported with a curriculum. Participation in TALKS has the potential to shape children personality and social development through the learning's of conflict resolutions and social interaction skills.The program uses a tradic model (1 adult - 3 students) structured group format. The program structure requires meeting once weekly for one hour, at the schools during school hours, with sanctions of the school system, and follow a curriculum designed forthe students and their mentors.
