Description
Theodore G. Davis Middle School is located in Waldorf the northern part of Charles County.
Davis is a two-story building that has a state-rated capacity of 940 students and a core capacity of 1128 students. The building is approximately 128,000-square feet. It uses a central main street as the key organizing principle, a concept that is being successfully used at North Point High School. Each main street connects the building’s grade-level “houses” with centrally located support spaces. The sixth-grade house is located on the ground floor, and the seventh- and eighth-grade houses are in separate wings on the second floor. Support spaces include a centrally located media center, art, science, music, band, strings, cafeteria, gymnasium/auditorium and administrative areas. Special education classrooms are included in each “house” to ensure integration of the learning environment.
