Description

At the Georgia Boy Choir, boys join together in order to reach a common and achievable goal: transformation of the rough and unrefined boy into a deeply expressive musician. It’s a miracle worth repeating time and again for as many boys as possible, as many times as possible. On the path to reaching that goal their individuality is enhanced and they receive tools, traits, and resources that will serve them throughout the vicissitudes of life and help to build these boys into men. The program consists of weekly rehearsals on five levels, weekend retreats, subscription concerts, private and public performances, and continental and international concert tours. Boys in the Georgia Boy Choir rehearse in an environment where they are safe from personal or social criticism, and adulation is shared among the group; teaching the boys mutual respect, confidence, dedication, hard work, self-discipline, sacrifice, and an appreciation of Beauty.
