Description
The Arc is a grassroots, volunteer advocacy organization working to improve the lives of people with Special Needs. The Arc of South Carolina advocates on behalf of special needs adults, children, and their family members to ensure they have the services and supports to grow, develop, and live in the community.
The Arc of South Carolina is affiliated with The Arc of the United States, a national organization on mental retardation. Since 1950, The Arc of the US, in conjunction with its state chapters, has provided leadership in the areas of advocacy, education, public awareness, prevention and research.
