Description

The Arc in Hawaii provides quality direct services for people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities on Oahu. Together with our affiliates, we advocate for our constituents in the State of Hawaii, so that they can live, learn, work and play in their own communities.

The Arc in Hawaii is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1954 by a group of parents of sons & daughters with mental retardation. It's a membership organization, an Aloha United Way agency and a member of The Arc of the United States.

The Arc is the largest provider of community-based residential services for individuals with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities. In addition, The Arc operates three adult training centers for clients with developmental disabilities.
