Description

The Bakersfield Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. (BARC) was founded in 1949 as a not-for-profit organization to provide and promote services for people with mental disabilities.

BARC provides employment services to adults and assistance to families with children at home who have developmental disabilities. BARC programs include information and referral services, education and training, employment, recreation, residential services, and support groups.
