Description
The Thankful Community Development Corporation (TCDC) located in Chattanooga, Tennessee is a faith-based non-profit community organization that was chartered in the year 2000 in the state of Tennessee and received its 501(C) (3) tax-exempt designation from the Internal Revenue Service in March 2001. The TCDC was established out of the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church on the belief that both the church and the CDC have a dual role in resurrecting fallen communities. Therefore our aim is to 1) act as a change agent for persons in the community willing and desiring to be helped 2) combat community deterioration and build up the community to make it a decent place to live 3) equip individuals with the skills necessary to become productive citizens within the community and 4) promote the general welfare of the neighborhoods and community.
