Description
TABS is an early college high school model focusing on the health services industry including biotechnology, biomedical and nanotechnology. The coursework will challenge students to develop an understanding of science, technology, mathematics, and engineering in an environment modeling real world context for learning and work.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the growth in health services is projected to be at 30.3% by 2014. In response to this increasing demand, this proposal develops the concept of students taking health care courses that will apply towards their high school diploma as well a college degree, and will provide the transition into the college setting.
