T.R.A.C., Inc. (Temporary Residence for Adolescents in Crisis) is presently the only non-profit community-based residential treatment program serving the Mid Cumberland region for female youths ages 12-19 who are in state custody due to dependent neglect, delinquency or adolescent status offenses. Adolescence is a time filled with a variety of choices followed by consequences with each choice. When a teenager is ill-equipped with the necessary resources to make healthy, productive choices, disruptive and/or self-destructive behavior often results. TRAC is staffed with counselors who directly supervise the residents and implement the daily therapeutic program. TRAC offers each resident a new opportunity through a productive educational plan, daily life skills, clinical services, spiritual guidance, and volunteer and job opportunity. Utilizing a behavior modification system, rules, choices and consequences assist in reducing or eliminating poor choices and negative behavior.
