Description
TGH serves a 12 county region with a population in excess of 4 million in West Central Florida. As the only Level I Trauma Center in West Central Florida, TGH provides emergency treatment to adults and children with critical injuries and acute illnesses. Both the Regional Aeromedical Transport Program and the Regional Burn Center are located at TGH as well as the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As one of the largest hospitals in Florida, Tampa General is licensed for 958 beds, and with over 6,000 employees, is one of the region's largest employers.
