Description
Mission statement: Organized and created to maintain and enhance an opera company focused on its own community in both its support of local artists and its commitment to local arts education.
Primary activity: An ensemble company where residents of the community get to know their local artists. Community and school outreach programs includes attendance of students from local school districts to dress rehearsals of 3 opera productions per year. Performances are staged with full union orchestra and supertitles projected above the stage.
Beginning with June 10, 11 performances of Boito's Mefistofele, opera productions will be at the Paramount Center in Peekskill, NY.
