Description
Tabor Community Services is a non-profit financial and housing counseling organization that teaches the skills and disciplines our clients need to become productive, responsible community members. Founded in 1968 Tabor became a HUD-approved housing counseling agency in 1971 and a member of the National Foundation for Consumer Credit in 1986. In 2001 Tabor was named the National Foundation for Consumer Credit’s Agency of the Year. Tabor is a member of the Council on Accreditation and Better Business Bureau.
Since its inception Tabor’s mission has been to build strong communities by helping families solve their financial and housing problems. Aligned with its mission, Tabor has steadily offered a wider, more comprehensive array of financial, housing, and consumer credit counseling programs and services for low-income and homeless families. Tabor serves approximately 3,000 low-income families (over 8,000 individuals) in Lancaster City and County, Pennsylvania, each year.
