Description
A primarly social service organization, Switchboard provides 24/7/365 crisis counseling and information and referral helpline and prevention and clinical programs.
Speciality lines focus on suicide prevention and issues related to mental health, drug and alcohol abuse, seniors, teens, GLTBQ, rape and more. Switchboard answers over 180,000 calls annually.
Life skills training and various other educational programs are offered in 23 Miami-Dade public schools and community organizations to essentially provide tools to nearly 5,000 youth to make better choices with more positive ramifications.
Individual and family group counseling sessions help 1,500 families each year. Communications, family relationships, risky behaviors are just some of the topics discussed and analyzed in the context of the individual family.
