    about

The charitable arm of SwedishAmerican Hospital, providing for unfunded health care needs for the hospital, its employees, and the surrounding community. Quoted from the website: At SwedishAmerican, we're committed to our community. Through the charitable efforts of the SwedishAmerican Medical Foundation, we're able to ensure the delivery of superior healthcare to Rockford area residents. Established in 1981, the SwedishAmerican Medical Foundation raises, invests and distributes funds for the benefit of SwedishAmerican Health System and its mission to take care of the Rockford community. This includes SwedishAmerican Hospital, its clinics and the neighborhood surrounding the hospital. We also support local community healthcare organizations that further the mission of SwedishAmerican. An appointed board of directors oversees the assets and activities of this independent, nonprofit, tax-exempt Illinois corporation.
