Suwannee River Resource Conservation and Development - SRRC&D

The Suwannee River Resource Conservation and Development (SRRC&D) Council was organized in 1967 by local residents in need of a co-ordinated approach to resource conservation and development. The SRRC&D is a locally driven, non-profit corporation, led by residents representing each of the seven counties in the market area. Since it's inception, over 100 projects have been accomplished that promote regional economic development, prudent use of natural resources and improvement to the quality of life for area residents. A wide variety of improvements were accomplished by the Suwannee River RC&D and our local partners. Examples of recent achievements include a low cost no-till equipment rental program with area landusers, assisting local food banks, handicap access improvement, limited resource farmer ssistance, fire protection, recycling, economic improvement feasibility studies and recreation development.
