Description

The Mission of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is to eradicate breast cancer as a life threatening disease by advancing research, education, screening and treatment.

The Greater NYC Affiliate serves the following area: the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, and Rockland County.

Komen Greater NYC will contribute more than $3 million this year to programs that aim to fulfill our mission. 75% of the net proceeds raised by Komen Greater NYC is dedicated to local breast health and breast cancer programming in its service area, and 25% of net proceeds funds national breast cancer research through the Komen Foundation Research Program.

Komen Greater NYC’s local grants programs support non-profit organizations that provide innovative breast health/breast cancer education and direct service programs.
